Explain this phenomenon.
Firstly, the red liquid is much hotter than the green liquid. This is obvious as steam is cumming out from the thermo flask when the red liquid is being poured whereas this is not observable for the green liquid.
Both liquids are poured into the transparent liquid at the same time. It can be observed that the red liquid flows towards the top in the liquid whereas the green liquid goes to the bottom of the container.
As the red liquid is much hotter than the green liquid, it expands more than the green liquid. When it expands more, there will be a larger volume of red liquid compared to the green liquid. Density is Mass/Volume. With a larger volume, the red liquid is less denser.
When the red liquid is less denser, it will go to the top of the water. For the green liquid, it is much denser, thus it will go towards the bottom of the container.
